Grass Roots BMW Attempts World Record

This Saturday, September 26th, Grass Roots BMW and over 130 BMW motorcycle riders, will attempt to make Cape Girardau home to a new Guiness World Record. The prior title, for the longest BMW motorcycle parade, was made in Einsiedeln, Switzerland on June 12th, 2004, with 128 riders. A severe accident this past Monday, reduced the number of confirmed riders by one. Herb and Reno Anderson, owners of Grass Roots BMW Dealership, in downtown Cape Girardeau, have committed countless hours and money to make this event a reality. They plan to put Cape Girardeau on the global map and encourage any BMW riders, who would like to participate, to show up on Saturday and be a part of history.

Registration is at 28 South Spanish Street, in downtown Cape Girardeau, Missouri from Saturday, 9/26/2009, 9:00am to 11:00am.

There is a Bar B Q lunch and live music at 12:00pm, with the parade starting at 1:30. 2:30pm-Pictures with Nate Kern and door prizes at 3:00pm.
